Vellutini Residence
Eureka, California
Built in the Craftsman style, this 6000 s.f. residence has undergone a number of renovations, each one requiring careful attention to detail in order to maintain the historical context while judiciously introducing some contemporary design elements.
This work includes a remodel of the existing kitchen and breakfast nook, and the expansion of an existing covered patio. Contemporary elements introduced to the building are a new concrete patio with a glass and steel wind block, a new steel stair for third floor access, and an exterior concrete reflecting pond.
