Contractors do not need to be prequalified to bid on this project.

Will prevailing wages be required for this project?

1. Room 238 & 240 are specified for TB-2 on the Finish Schedule, but the specification section 096516-3 states that the linoleum is to be self-coved 4" up each wall. What should we move forward with for these areas?
Rooom 238 & 240 should have self-coved linoleum 4" up each wall as stated in the specifications (section 096516).
2. Door schedule to have appointed hardware sets for each door opening. No hardware sets are given on the door schedule. I don't know which hardware set goes with which door.
The hardware sets have been added to the drawings. The revision will be part of Addendum A.
3. We are looking for clarification on CPT-1 Carpet specified Shaw - Resonance J0118 - Endurance II Backing on Finish Schedule A2.6 and in the specification section 096816. There is no reference in part 2.1A as to which product.
CPT-1 is Shaw as indicated on A2.6
4. We are seeking clarification on LIN-1 Linoleum specified Armstrong Marmorette on Finish schedule A2.6 and in the specification section 096516. The reference in part 2.1A is Linoleum: "Forbo Marmoleum Real." Which product should we proceed with for our take off?
LIN-1 is "Forbo Marmoleum Real" as per the specification.

7. The ceiling tile shown on the finish schedule is Armstrong Ultima. Is it 15/16 or 9/16? Is it square lay-in or tegular edge?
The tile used is a 15/16 square lay-in with a 15/16 Armstrong Prelude suspension system. The product number is #1910 for the 2x2 and #1913 for the 2x4. The revision will be part of Addendum A.
8. What Armstrong Effects WoodLooks color, edge, and trim is being used?
The WoodLooks will be Cherry, 15/16 Vector, 2" trim, and will have the extra microperforated option.

This will be a Federal court.
16. Is there a specific wage rate applicable to this project?

17. Can we use thermal break metal in lieu of foam insulation?

18. Where is funding for the project coming from?

19. 5 1/2" square tubing columns are not a standard size. Can a 5" square tube be substituted?

20. Specs, elevations and finish schedule for casework at Reception counters, Council Chambers, EPA and Restrooms need to be provided to complete bid.
All furnishings / casework is not in contract and will be bid seperately as a TI work. This will be updated on Addendum A.
21. What does the "D.G." in "D.G. Pathway" stand for?
Decomposed Granite.

23. Section 102231 Folding Accordion Patitions calls out for Soundmaster Model SM8 by Moderns Fold. Line item H calls for the STC to be 40. This model has a STC 39. Is a STC 39 Acceptable?
A STC 39 for Model SM8 Accordion Partition is acceptable.
24. Section 2.4 A Suspension System calls for Roll-formed steel track. Is an aluminum track acceptable?
The suspension system is to be steel as specified.
25. Is the spray-on fireproofing on detail 25/A8.1 cementitious or intumescent fireproofing?
Spray-on fireproofing has been removed. Revised detail will be on Addendum B.

30. There are 3 manufacturers listed for FRP doors, however, only 1 of them can provide a "smooth, gloss surface." as described in the specifications. Can the other manufacturers provide their textured surfaces since they are listed? The specified product does not have the smooth FRP.
Choose Kawneer or a manufacturer with comparible finish/lite configuration. Do not intermix surface finishes.

Vertical posts on exterior guardrails/handrails are 1-1/2" stainless steel as shown on sheet S4.2. This change will be made on Addendum C.
34. We would like to suggest using a different material for the soffit, is this ok?
Flat Soffit Panel will be used @ all exterior eaves and soffits.
35. What are the light fixture types shown at Hallways 205 & 236 and Waiting Room 201?
The triangles represent LM-7, the Circles represent LM-11, and the darker circles represent an angled LM-11.
36. How will the 100 amp, 208 volt circuits on the south wall of the kitchen be terminated; disconnect switch or special receptacles?
Terminate at the Junction Boxes. TI work will come later.
37. Are the outlets shown in the Board Room 221 floor boxes or mounted in a table? If floor mounted, is there a brand or model number and what circuit feeds these outlets?
Floor Mounted. Contractor to provide brand and model number. They go on Circuit D41.
38. Are there any specifications for the standby generator?
Bid the generator with Cummins West Arcata directly.
